Note: This is a service-learning course and requires service in the form of tutoring K-6 students who are underrepresented in terms of race/ethnicity. Locations will vary, but will include local elementary schools, community centers and other related locations where students need and/or are seeking academic assistance. Students will tutor two hours per week for a minimum of 20 hours per semester. Students will need to provide their own transportation, though it may be possible to share rides with classmates. Students will need to obtain a background check. Instructor will share the process during class.
